Who We Are

Olivet is a Christian music ministry in Maine. Our music is FREE to download and listen to!  In 1993, Darryl Mansir (Lead Vocals, Rhythm Guitar) and his nephew Jeff Sutter (Lead Guitar, Vocals) started to team up and write their own songs together. With a great amount of material, they soon met John Genthner (Bass Guitar, Vocals) at a church in Bath, Maine called Elim Assembly of God. The trio immediately started practicing and had their first concert at Shepherd's Fold Church of God in Hallowell, Maine. It was there they asked their cousin Robert Hinkley (Drums, Vocals) to join the band as the drummer. They called the name of the band Crossfire. From there the band played many concerts and recorded a full length demo album. Around that time the band's name was changed to Olivet. The band disbanded around 1998. A few years later, the Lord laid it on Darryl's heart to start the ministry up again. This led to him and John teaming up with the brother's Steve Dobbins (Drums, Vocals) and Joel Dobbins (Lead Guitar) and Ben Dumont (Rhythm Guitar).  Olivet continued to minister for Jesus with this line up for a couple of years.  Around 2020, Darryl, Jeff, and Steve decided to continue the ministry through recording.  So far, 5 albums of music and 1 worship album have been recorded.  We have this site up so that anyone can listen to our music and even download our songs for free!  We don't believe in charging money for the message of Jesus to reach people.  We do accept donations to keep this site running and buying supplies to distribute Cd's.  Enjoy and be blessed in the Lord!
